This qualification is for people looking for a pathway into working in the Gas Industry but do not currently have qualifications in the industry. The qualification is combined of training and a NVQ portfolio.
The course covers all aspects to provide you with a ACS qualification and enable you to be able to obtain membership with the gas safe register. The course requirement is 280 hours of in the classroom training and covers electrical fault finding for gas, NVQ support and site visits, ACS core gas on completion of your training and NVQ along with CENWAT and CKR1.
The course is run 1 day a week for the duration of 35 weeks to enable you to complete 280 hours of training. You will be expected to complete the NVQ requirements working alongside a gas safe registered engineer for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
